BETADA

Besnik Dautaj, better known by his artist name BETADA, was born in Albania in 1961.
He studied at the Academy of Figurative Arts in Tirana from 1981 to 1985 and had solo exhibitions in Albania until 1989. He has been living in Greece for 20 years where he continues to paint with passion. A true master of hyper-realism, he dresses fruits and objects with a veil that is often more beautiful than reality itself. His play of shadows and transparencies is fantastic and beyond being a technical feat, his works give off a real emotion. But Betada does not limit himself to still life and portraits, he also alternates with abstract works. He masters all techniques: oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastels. His works are scattered in private collections all over Europe.
