DENIS BRASILIER
Denis Brasilier is a French contemporary painter, born in Paris in 1956, graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Met de Peninghen School at the Académie Julian.
He spent his early childhood in Rome at the Villa Medici where his father, Jean Brasilier, won the Rome Prize for Architecture five times. It is in this privileged artistic environment that Denis grew up and developed his passion.
“What I look for in my work is light, sparkle, perspective; when I paint I am in an imaginary and dreamlike world, and I am happiest.”
“The colors guide me little by little towards a vibrant dream that I catch on the fly.”
Bathed in poetry and the symbolism of sacred art across generations, “Cosmogonic Onirism” is the pictorial essence of Denis Brasilier’s universe.
He is also the leader of fractal art, which he masters to perfection and which he associates with phenomenal and abysmal superimposed perspectives.
His art addresses themes of space, architecture, nature, the cosmos and urbanism and is a blend of epic celestial dreams that transcend and illuminate his creations. He qualifies his own art as « cosmogonic».
A perspectivist, he applies geometric inspiration to an optical vibration of colors.
Denis Brasilier is an internationally renowned artist that has exhibited in France, mainly in Paris, Ramatuelle and Cannes, in Denmark, Sweden, the United States and now in Greece. His works are present in private collections around the world.
