Philippe Seigle’s artistic vision is a prism of joy and happiness. His professional career has taken him from one continent to another. The different cultures, the colors, the atmospheres have enriched his memory for more than 50 years, then the passion to paint took over to become a reality in its own right. The artist regularly exhibits in Mexico, Brazil, Morocco, the United States, Spain, France, Germany, Greece and soon in Italy and the United Arab Emirates. Totally dedicated to his art, Philippe cultivates an expression of eternal adolescence (as he likes to say himself) of men, animals and objects, poses on his canvases a naive style and a colorful iconography of elements circled in black, in which one detects sometimes a Hispanic, Mexican, Middle Eastern inspiration, sometimes a classically Western one, or even an improvised mix of origins. Some of his themes put, in a humorous way, the human race in front of its inconsistencies and defects, like fables. Other paintings show scenes of a pleasant life in which the joy of living transcends, faces slightly destructured like Picasso, landscapes and multicolored animals. But always persists a wink of the artist. In a world often marked by misery and disasters, Philippe’s works are an ode to good humor and joie de vivre and transmit to the viewer the positive dynamic that radiates from the painter.
